Hike the tallest mountain in the Northeast and experience rivers, waterfalls, granite walls, and boulder scrambles leading you to breathtaking views above the treeline! Heading up we will pass the famous Lake of the Clouds Hut, where we can stop for snacks and a break. From the hut, it's one more mile to the Summit, where weather permitting, we get 360-degree views of the entire Presidential Range and beyond!
Cross the Cog Railway and enjoy more sweeping views down into the Mt Washington valley before descending below the treeline on the Jewell Trail and looping back down to our starting point. Lots of climbing, scrambling, and technical terrain make this a strenuous hike that shouldn’t be taken lightly, but the challenge is worth the payoff of an incredible day of hiking!
