Similar to Mt. Pierce, this is often a “first 4,000-footer” for people looking to begin their peak-bagging journey in New Hampshire. While longer than Pierce at 7.5 miles, this is also a loop trail instead of an out and back, so, the journey is all new with every step.
And because the distance is longer, the elevation gain is more gradual and steady, giving folks more time to acclimate to climbing to the peak. Mt. Moosilauke offers gorgeous summit views thanks to its wide prominence from other tall peaks.
