The Beginners Series: Mount Pemi
Guineafowl Adventure Company has kicked off its Beginners Series and we want YOU to join us! From time-to-time, we’ll be hosting a different peak with beginners in mind. We’ll take it a little slower, have more breaks, and we offer more flexibility than our more rigorous hikes. Don’t be fooled, though–if you’re experienced, you will still have fun, learn things, and enjoy great company!
Mount Pemigewasset is an incredible beginner winter hike because it’s at the foot of Franconia Notch State Park so often gets heavier snowfall than other more southern ‘beginner’ hikes, and because most of the hike is below treeline, there is less chance of significant ice and you are protected from the winter weather elements. It’s a beautiful short hike and rewards you at the summit with spectacular western-facing views looking toward Mount Moosilauke and Vermont!
As with all Guineafowl trips, we provide round trip transportation, backpacks, water, snacks, safety equipment (including traction for the winter months) and friendly, experienced guides!
**Hike will operate with a minimum of four (4) participants. If the scheduled hike does not reach four or more participants, clients will be asked to reschedule to a later hike or can opt to be refunded for the missed hike.
