The Beginners Series: Mount Major
Guineafowl Adventure Company has kicked off its Beginners Series and we want YOU to join us! From time-to-time, we’ll be hosting a different peak with beginners in mind. We’ll take it a little slower, have more breaks, and we offer more flexibility than our more rigorous hikes. Don’t be fooled, though–if you’re experienced, you will still have fun, learn things, and enjoy great company!
The Mount Major and Mount Straightback Loop Hike takes you through a beautiful forest and gradually up above treeline first looking west from the summit of Mount Straightback and then traversing at or above treeline over to the summit of Mount Major to get expansive northeast views overlooking Lake Winnispesaukee with the White Mountains in the distance. This incredibly scenic hike offers flatter forest hiking before climbing and is a great Winter hike with only light traction!
As with all Guineafowl trips, we provide round trip transportation, backpacks, water, snacks, safety equipment (including traction for the winter months) and friendly, experienced guides!Â
**Hike will operate with a minimum of four (4) participants. If the scheduled hike does not reach four or more participants, clients will be asked to reschedule to a later hike or can opt to be refunded for the missed hike.
