Summit & Soul Women’s Mountain Retreat: Wildcat Carter Moriah Traverse
Guineafowl Adventure Company is offering exclusive, full service, women’s-only nature retreats with our amazing guide Meg Stewart.
Join Meg for transformative adventures in the White Mountains, where rugged hiking, brief morning meditations, and restorative yoga come together to create a deeply healing experience. With years of experience as a yoga teacher and wilderness medicine educator, Meg brings a thoughtful, grounding approach to this journey through nature’s most breathtaking landscapes. Start each day with a quiet meditation to center the mind before hiking the rugged trails of the White Mountain National Forest, ascending 4,000-foot peaks, and immersing yourself in the vibrant energy of the forest. Feel the power of the earth beneath your feet as you reconnect with resilience and strength. As the sun sets, unwind with a soothing yoga practice beneath the stars, designed to restore tired muscles and nourish the soul.
This experience blends movement, mindfulness, and the quiet wisdom of nature, offering a space to recharge and find balance. Let the mountains challenge you, the forest heal you, and the journey inspire lightness, strength, and peace.

The Wildcat-Carter-Moriah traverse is a well-known peak bagging trip for enthusiastic hikers looking to check off several of the NH-48 4,000-footers at once! On this challenging and beautiful hike, you’ll spend a significant amount of time above and at the top of the treeline, while getting incredible views back into Tuckerman’s Ravine looking out across the valley. The look back at the whole Presidential Range is unmatched anywhere else in the White Mountain National Forest!
This is a strenuous trek meant for experienced hikers, but staying at AMC High Mountain Huts offers some fun and surprising luxuries. First and foremost, you’ll have real beds at the huts and both breakfast and dinner provided for you. Minimal gear means packing light, moving with confidence, and peace of mind that comfortable accommodations await you after a day of adventuring. Best of all, spreading the traverse out over two days allows you to take a well deserved break between all of the climbing and descending for some delicious fresh cooked meals, some yoga and mindfulness!
