Summit & Soul Women’s Mountain Retreat: Presidential Traverse
Guineafowl Adventure Company is offering exclusive, full service, women’s-only nature retreats with our amazing guide Meg Stewart.
Join Meg for transformative adventures in the White Mountains, where rugged hiking, brief morning meditations, and restorative yoga come together to create a deeply healing experience. With years of experience as a yoga teacher and wilderness medicine educator, Meg brings a thoughtful, grounding approach to this journey through nature’s most breathtaking landscapes. Start each day with a quiet meditation to center the mind before hiking the rugged trails of the White Mountain National Forest, ascending 4,000-foot peaks, and immersing yourself in the vibrant energy of the forest. Feel the power of the earth beneath your feet as you reconnect with resilience and strength. As the sun sets, unwind with a soothing yoga practice beneath the stars, designed to restore tired muscles and nourish the soul.
This experience blends movement, mindfulness, and the quiet wisdom of nature, offering a space to recharge and find balance. Let the mountains challenge you, the forest heal you, and the journey inspire lightness, strength, and peace.
This trip is part of our Summit & Soul series. The other hikes Meg is guiding in this series are:
June 14-15: Z-Bonds Traverse w/overnight stay at Zealand Springs Hut. Two Day, One Night traverse (19 miles, 4,500’ elevation gain)
July 11-13: Pemi Loop w/ overnight stays at Greenleaf Hut and Galehead Hut. Three Day, Two Night traverse (29 miles, 10,000’ elevation gain)
September 13-14: Wildcat-Carter-Moriah Traverse with overnight stay at Carter Notch Hut. Two Day, One Night traverse (17 miles, 6,500’ gain)
The Presidential Traverse is known as one of the most beautiful and rigorous hikes in the country, with miles of breathtaking above-treeline ridge hiking, unforgettable views of the White Mountain National Forest and of course the satisfying achievement of summiting Mount Washington, the highest point in all of the Northeastern United States standing at 6,288’ above sea level!
This trek is only for experienced hikers, but because we have the benefit of staying at the AMC High Mountain Huts, where beds, breakfast and dinners are all provided, we can pack light and move with confidence each day, knowing our comfortable accommodations await us in the evening! Also, because we are spreading the traverse out over three days, our longest day of hiking is roughly 7 miles, which gives us plenty of daylight to take our time, enjoy the scenery, and snap as many photos as we want!
Trips include all AMC Hut overnight accommodations, round trip transportation to and from Greater Boston and all necessary hiking gear.
