MWOBS Seek the Peak: Mount Washington

In support of the Mount Washington Observatory (MWOBS), Guineafowl Adventure Company is guiding a day hike of Mount Washington for the MWOBS Seek the Peak fundraising event!  MWOBS is a critically important resource for Guineafowl—and for all hikers—as it’s the most important weather resource for hiking above treeline in the White Mountain National Forest. MWOBS is a non-profit organization and needs our support to continue doing their excellent work to study weather science and keep us all informed and safe when in the mountains. Guineafowl Adventure Company has been a sponsor of the Seek the Peak event for three years, and we will donate $50 per ticket to MWOBS as an additional charitable contribution to our annual sponsorship donation.  Come join us for this incredible hike, hang out for the after party, and do it all with round trip transportation to and from Boston and all the gear you need!

Come hike the highest peak in the Northeast, a crowning achievement in the White Mountains! Mount Washington, at 6,288′ tall is the highest point in the Northeast and is the most topographically prominent mountain east of the Mississippi River! For this hike, we will head up from Pinkham Notch via the Tuckerman’s Ravine Trail, climbing straight up the middle of the ravine through a winding waterfall. Above the ravine, leading to the summit you’ll find out whiy they call it the Rock Pile, as we scramble our way to the summit! Returning down Lions Head, catch a glimpse back into the ravine when we descend!
